Vic Park Retaining Walls
This project involved the delivery of significant civil, structural and landscape works along the Victoria Park riverfront, transforming the area into an improved and more accessible public recreation space.
The works included extensive earthworks and site preparation, construction of tiered retaining walls, riverbank stabilisation, concrete works and associated civil infrastructure. The stepped retaining wall system was carefully integrated into the existing riverbank and mature vegetation, creating functional terraces while responding to the challenging sloping waterfront environment.
Associated building and infrastructure works included upgrades around the boat ramp and river access areas, together with pathways, access improvements and supporting public infrastructure.
Extensive landscaping and revegetation completed the project, incorporating new turf, garden beds and planting throughout the terraced areas while retaining established native trees.
The completed works provide a durable and attractive riverfront precinct that improves access to the water, strengthens the riverbank and creates high-quality landscaped areas for the community to enjoy.
